Ullmann attributed the negative sentiment towards Denuvo to misunderstandings about its purpose and the financial stakes involved in game development. Currently, publishers use Denuvo during the launch period but often remove it later. The upcoming game Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not use Denuvo, affecting its preloading options.
