Google has reintroduced the My Pixel app, previously known as Pixel Tips, with the Pixel 11 series, which has started sending unsolicited push notifications to users of older Pixel devices about the latest smartphones and the Pixel Watch 5. A poll showed that 93.9% of 9,600 respondents believe smartphone ads have become intolerable. Users find the notifications from the Pixel Tips app particularly annoying due to their invasive delivery method, which differs from traditional ads. There are tools available, such as NextDNS and Blokada, to manage unwanted ads.

Google has updated its My Pixel app with the launch of the Pixel 11 series, introducing a color-matching feature for the app's icon that reflects the specific color of the user's Pixel 11 device. The app now adapts its icon color to match devices like the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in Olive or Pro XL in Canyon. Additionally, a new search function has been added to help users quickly locate information and features within the app. These updates are currently exclusive to the Pixel 11 series and do not extend to older Pixel models.

Google is enhancing its My Pixel app with an in-app search tool, codenamed “koda,” to help users navigate the app's resources more easily. This feature, currently in early development, will assist users in finding usage tips and product-related information, such as phone cases. The search tool is expected to provide search suggestions to improve user experience. However, there is no guarantee that all anticipated functionalities will be included in the final public release.
