Lundström was 64 years old at the time of the incident. He played a significant role in establishing The Pirate Bay in 2003, which became one of the largest file-sharing platforms. In 2012, he was convicted of copyright infringement, serving four months in prison. Lundström was also involved in Swedish politics since the 1990s, including participation in the "Alternative for Sweden" movement.

TikTok enables U.S. Android users to download app via website

This decision is in response to legislation effective January 19, requiring TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, to divest ownership or face a potential ban due to national security concerns. Since the law's enactment, Apple and Google have not reinstated TikTok in their app stores. Former President Donald Trump is seeking a 75-day delay in enforcement, indicating possible negotiations for a sale of TikTok. TikTok has approximately 170 million users in the U.S. Trump signed an executive order for a sovereign wealth fund, which could facilitate TikTok's acquisition. U.S. officials are concerned about data misuse under ByteDance, while advocates for free speech oppose the ban. TikTok claims that U.S. officials have misrepresented its ties to China, stating that user data is stored on Oracle-operated servers in the U.S. and that content moderation is conducted domestically.

Cats Vote blends resource management with political satire

Cat's Vote is a resource management simulation game developed by Danar Kayfi, set to launch on Steam next month. The game combines themes of cats and politics, allowing players to manage resources for a feline family while participating in elections that influence their living conditions. A demo is currently available during the Steam Next Fest, which runs until October 21st. The game was originally conceived during the 2017 Game Zanga game jam and has been revisited for its formal release in 2024.
