Timberborn is a beaver-themed city-building game developed by Mechanistry, currently in early access. The latest update, Update 7, introduces ziplines and tubeways for improved transportation, with tubeways offering a speed advantage by transporting beavers at four times their normal pace. The update also overhauls terrain mechanics, allowing players to place terrain blocks on any solid surface and dig tunnels through the terrain. Additional features include adaptive power shafts for easier power grid reconfiguration, redesigned game maps, and various balance adjustments and bug fixes.

While the likelihood of a major solar event causing an internet blackout is uncertain, experts believe there is about a 1% chance each year. However, with advanced technology, such as satellites monitoring solar activity, emergency officials could potentially prepare the power grid and minimize damage from a solar storm.
