Pokemon Pokopia follows Minecraft’s lead in featuring persistent private servers with unlimited member caps, but you’ll have to “swap in and out” as it only accommodates four at once

Takuto Edagawa, chief director of Pokopia at Koei Tecmo, announced a new multiplayer feature called the "cloud island" for the upcoming life simulation game. This feature allows players to explore vibrant worlds on online servers with an unlimited number of participants, though only four players can occupy the same space at the same time. The "cloud island" concept aims to enhance multiplayer interaction, moving away from the requirement of concurrent online play seen in previous titles like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Additionally, the development team is focusing on giving each Pokémon character a distinct personality to enrich gameplay and deepen player connections with their in-game companions.

Dune: Awakening finally gets long-awaited character transfers

Version 1.2.40.0 of Dune: Awakening has been released, introducing character transfers that allow players to move their characters, inventory, bases, vehicles, and bank contents to new servers. Each player receives a transfer token that replenishes weekly, permitting one transfer per week. Transfers from private servers to official servers are not allowed, but transfers from official to private servers are permitted. If a character name already exists on the target server, a name change is required. Players must back up their bases and vehicles before transferring, and ensure their character is located in Hagga Basin to initiate the transfer.

Hopes for an eventual Anthem private server resurrection ignited as former executive producer says code for running the game locally ‘is there to be salvaged and recovered’

Anthem has officially ended as of approximately 2:05 PM EST on Monday. Former BioWare executive producer Mark Darrah suggested that the technology to run Anthem locally could potentially be revived, depending on third-party developers or EA's involvement.
