The genre known as 'Vampire Survivors-likes' is returning to its roots, inspired by the Diablo series. It started with Vampire Survivors, which combined chance and strategy in its gameplay, followed by Halls of Torment, which introduced loot-driven meta-progression. The latest title, Conquest Dark, retains core mechanics like class selection and automatic attacks while adding activatable powers, a clearable world map, engaging lore, and optional nudity. Players can choose their class, engage in combat, and accumulate experience points to unlock new powers and enhance character stats. Conquest Dark is now available in early access on Steam.

Windows 11 version 24H2 has been facing rollout challenges due to compatibility issues, leading Microsoft to implement a new block identified by protection number 56318982. The removal of such blocks can take time, similar to the previous ID 52754008 case. Current problems with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) are preventing devices on Windows 11 versions 23H2 and 22H2 from accessing the 24H2 update. Users attempting to download version 24H2 may encounter error code 0x80240069, attributed to the April 2025 security update (KB5055528). This error obstructs the download process, and there is no temporary workaround available from Microsoft at this time. The issue is also affecting the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Error code 0x80240069 is not documented in Microsoft's resources.

Microsoft is transitioning away from the traditional Windows Control Panel, moving settings to the Windows 11 "Settings" app. Recent updates have relocated keyboard character repeat delay and repeat rate options to the Accessibility > Keyboard section in the Settings app, although these changes are currently hidden and require manual activation by users. Additionally, all remaining options from the mouse properties dialog box have also been transferred to the Settings app. Despite these updates, keyboard options still exist in the traditional Control Panel. Microsoft began this transition in 2020 and plans to retire the Control Panel entirely, but the process is progressing slowly, with remnants of the Control Panel still present in Windows 10 and 11.

In October 2024, shadPS4 successfully booted the PS4 racing game Driveclub, which can now enter the game environment due to advancements with shadPS4Plus. Currently, Driveclub operates at approximately 38 frames per second (FPS) on a system with an Intel Core i5 3600KF and an NVIDIA RTX 3080Ti, but significant visual glitches remain, making it not fully playable. There is optimism that continued development could eventually achieve a smooth 60FPS experience on high-end PCs. Other PS4-exclusive titles like inFamous: Second Son and The Last Guardian are also not yet playable, while Godzilla 2014 shows more promise in rendering graphics. If development continues at the current pace, players might enjoy Driveclub by the end of 2025.
