Gemini Live redesign replaces fullscreen interface on Android

Gemini Live, a feature within Google's ecosystem, is being redesigned to enhance user experience on Android devices. The new design will integrate Gemini Live into the Gemini app's homepage instead of occupying the entire screen. The top bar will read “Live with Gemini” and include a transcript button. Windows 11’s mandatory update is pushing users to Microsoft Edge

Microsoft has programmed its Edge browser to automatically launch after a Windows 11 update, displaying a page that informs users their update is complete and prompts them to explore new features. This page lacks a close button, directing users to click a blue "Next" button to proceed. The features highlighted include the reinstatement of the taskbar clock, the ability to pin Emojis to the taskbar, Copilot's document summarization, the Snipping Tool's Quick markup, and AI actions in File Explorer's context menu. Users can provide feedback via like and dislike buttons, but these do not close the page. Windows 11 also includes pre-installed Get Started and Get Help apps that could showcase features instead of redirecting users to Edge. Fake Proton VPN sites are pushing NWHStealer malware to Windows users

A malware campaign is utilizing counterfeit Proton VPN websites and other deceptive tactics to distribute a Windows infostealer known as NWHStealer. This malware extracts sensitive information, including browser credentials and cryptocurrency wallet details, and operates stealthily by injecting itself into legitimate processes. Two primary infection vectors have been identified: malicious ZIP archives on a free web hosting platform and trojanized installers from fake Proton VPN sites. The malware employs DLL hijacking and can exfiltrate data to a command-and-control server while ensuring persistence through scheduled tasks and disguising payloads as legitimate system processes. It also exploits the Windows cmstp.exe utility to bypass User Account Control. Users are advised to avoid downloading software from unofficial sources and to verify file signatures and publisher information.
