Leather is a crucial resource in Minecraft, used for crafting and trading. To craft leather, players need four rabbit hides, which can be obtained by defeating rabbits found in various biomes. The crafting process does not require a crafting table.
To craft leather:
1. Open your inventory by pressing the E key.
2. Place the four rabbit hides in separate cells of the 2×2 crafting grid.
3. Click on the leather that appears in the result box to transfer it to your inventory.
Leather can be used to create items such as books, item frames, bundles, leather armor, and horse armor. It can also be traded with leatherworker villagers for emeralds, and used to repair leather armor in an anvil.
Alternative methods to obtain leather include defeating cows, horses, donkeys, and llamas, which drop leather upon defeat. Leatherworker villagers will buy leather from players in exchange for emeralds.
