Deus Ex Remastered is set to launch on February 5, 2026, but has received mixed reactions from fans and industry insiders. The remaster, developed by Aspyr, includes enhancements such as reimagined lighting, dynamic shadows, water physics, particle effects, updated textures, new character models, smoother lip-sync animations, and ragdoll physics. However, many fans feel the changes do not capture the essence of the original game. Jerry O'Flaherty, the original art director, expressed disappointment with the remaster's trailer. The remaster is available for pre-order on Steam for .99 / £22.49, while the Game of the Year Edition of the original can be purchased for .99 / £5.99.
