Best PC, PlayStation, Xbox Games Named by Gamescom – List of Winners in Different Categories Revealed

Capcom's upcoming title, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, won multiple awards, including Best PlayStation Game and Best Gameplay. CD Projekt RED received accolades for their booth design, merchandise, and the trailer for the remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, along with its story expansion "Ballad of the Past." The Best PC Game award went to Total War: Warhammer 40,000. Other awards included Best Xbox Game for Forza Horizon 6, Best Audio for Alien: Isolation 2, Most Engaging Game for Wanderburg, Most Epic Game for Tides of Annihilation, Most Heartfelt Game for Finding Polka, Best Nintendo Switch 2 Game for Rayman Legends Retold, and Best Mobile Game for Where Winds Meet. The Best Trailer (Audience Choice) was awarded to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered & Songs of the Past DLC.

Valve’s magical play-Windows-games-on-Linux tech is rebased, updated, and ready to play Resident Evil

Mojang is Stacking Another Game in September 2026 With Minecraft Dungeons 2 Arriving on PC and Consoles

Minecraft Dungeons 2 is set to be released on September 29, 2026, two months after its announcement in March 2026. It will be available on all current-generation PC and console platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 2. The game will be priced at .99 USD, but will be accessible for Xbox Game Pass subscribers on day one. The game features an adventurous campaign where players must stop a new evil across two worlds, engaging in battles against various foes. The eShop page for the game was briefly available before being removed.

I played 3 hours of the Rayman Legends 3D remake—and while I miss the 2D artstyle, boy is it still pretty

Rayman Legends, originally released in 2013, has a score of 90 and is being remade into Rayman Legends Retold, which features a transition from 2D to 3D graphics and introduces new gameplay elements. Developed by Ubisoft Milan and Montpellier, the remake aims to create a cohesive narrative with voice acting, cutscenes, and interconnected overworld maps. It includes a new sixth world called The Land of the Livid Dead, with fresh platforming abilities and dragon riding segments. The health system involves the Teensies, where each hit results in a Teensie being lost, which may frustrate completionists. The game is scheduled for release on October 1.

Rayman Legends Retold Launching October 1

Ubisoft announced Rayman Legends Retold during the Sony State of Play, set to launch on October 1 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, GE Force Now, Blacknut, and PC via Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The game features a reimagined experience with stunning 3D visuals, a new story, fully voiced cinematics, a sixth realm, four new musical stages, dragon rides, new challenges, improved Kung Foot, and an expanded soundtrack. Pre-orders are available for several editions, including Standard, Deluxe, and Launch Editions, each offering unique content. Pre-ordering grants access to the Hoodlum Havoc pack with costumes for Rayman and Globox.
