Stormgate faced skepticism upon launch due to its aesthetics, narrative, and gameplay mechanics, which some players felt lacked polish. The game had limited single-player missions and a push for additional purchases. Developer Frost Giant has since overhauled the campaign, introducing a new feature called Stormgates, which are dimensional rifts on 1v1 maps that provide randomized rewards affecting gameplay dynamics. Examples of rewards include the Soulforge Relic, Sky Hunters, Void Prowlers, Swarm Mother, and Stormcaller Relic. These elements significantly impact match strategy, prompting players to adapt their tactics. Frost Giant is replacing traditional creep camps with Stormgates based on community feedback, and while creep camps have been removed from three ladder maps, they remain in other custom settings. The Stormgates are now integrated into 1v1 gameplay, with plans for expansion into other modes.

The Black Rock Neutralizer is a special weapon in FBC: Firebreak essential for neutralizing corrupted items that complicate gameplay. Players can typically find it at ammo collection points or in safe rooms, which require unlocking. It fires stones to destroy corrupted items, rewarding players with samples. The weapon has limited ammo that cannot be replenished, so it should not be used on regular enemies. If players run out of ammo, they will have to deal with the corrupted modifiers without the weapon's help.

EA is committed to incorporating player feedback into the next Battlefield game following the mixed reception of Battlefield 2042. CEO Andrew Wilson stated that this initiative represents "the biggest playtesting initiative in franchise history," with a dedicated group of playtesters already logging thousands of hours. The upcoming title, often referred to as Battlefield 6, is being developed under the leadership of Vince Zampella and involves multiple studios, including Ripple Effect, Motive, and Criterion. EA plans to expand its Battlefield Labs testing program to include more players ahead of a summer reveal, with only a brief 10-second clip released so far.
