Microsoft has begun the rollout of the Windows 11 2025 Update (version 25H2) for compatible devices. This update is a minor cumulative release that does not require a complete reinstallation for users on version 24H2, but those on version 23H2 must upgrade to version 24H2 first. To install the Windows 11 2025 Update from Settings, users should open Settings, click on Windows Update, enable the toggle for getting the latest updates, check for updates, download and install, and then restart the device. For users upgrading from version 23H2 or earlier, the Installation Assistant can be used, which involves downloading the tool from the Microsoft support website and following the prompts to install the update, requiring a complete reinstallation. The Media Creation Tool can also be used to create a USB bootable media for the update, which necessitates a complete reinstallation. Alternatively, users can download the official ISO file from the Microsoft support website, mount the image, and run the setup to upgrade while preserving files, settings, and applications. The availability of version 25H2 was announced on September 30, 2025, and users should check for updates regarding the rollout schedule for their specific devices.

Microsoft has fixed two long-standing bugs in Windows 11. The first bug involved webcams, which had prevented access to the 24H2 update since October 2024. The second bug affected Bluetooth audio connectivity, disrupting users since late last year. Both fixes allow users to install the 24H2 update. However, a new issue has emerged from the September update, affecting Blu-ray and DVD applications, as well as Digital TV software, causing playback failures and error messages. Microsoft is aware of this problem and is working on a solution. The 25H2 update is expected to arrive soon, potentially bringing a refreshed Start menu.

An updated rollout schedule for One UI 7, featuring Android 15, has been shared on Reddit, reportedly from the Samsung Members app. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6 are set to receive the update starting April 25, followed by the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5 around May 25. The rollout is phased with a one-month interval between groups, concluding in July. The Galaxy Tab A9 is expected to receive its update in July. Initially, One UI 7 was supposed to launch widely on April 7 in Korea, but the rollout was halted three days later due to a bug affecting several devices. Samsung has acknowledged the situation and is updating the rollout schedule for a better experience, but did not specify reasons for the pause.
