Own These Ubisoft Games on Xbox? You Can Now Play Them on PC for Free

Ubisoft and Xbox have launched an initiative allowing players who own select Ubisoft titles on Xbox consoles to access the PC versions of those games at no extra cost. Starting today, new digital purchases will provide immediate access to both Xbox and PC versions. Existing owners will also benefit, although the availability of PC versions will be rolled out gradually, with full implementation expected by August 4. Xbox Gamers Purchasing Select Ubisoft Games Will Now Get the PC Version for Free

Ubisoft is offering Xbox gamers a new initiative where players who own or purchase select Ubisoft games through the Microsoft Store will receive a complimentary PC version via the Ubisoft Connect launcher. This offer includes 13 titles: Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Far Cry 6, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Riders Republic, Skull and Bones, The Crew 2, The Crew Motorfest, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Watch Dogs Legion. Starting July 21, customers who purchase a digital version of any of these titles will gain immediate access to both the Xbox console and Xbox on PC digital versions. Existing owners of the digital versions on Xbox will receive the PC counterpart between July 21 and August 4. This offer is distinct from Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere program, as it does not provide cross-save or cross-progression capabilities. Season Passes and add-on content purchased on Xbox are expected to transfer to the PC version, but in-game currencies and consumables will not be included. Additionally, Ubisoft is expanding the availability of its games through the Xbox app on PC, with new additions likely accessible via the Ubisoft Connect app.

Helldivers 2 is giving players a free car in October, except for those who already earned it in June

Helldivers 2 introduces new tools and equipment, some locked behind Warbonds, causing player frustration. However, players can unlock the M-103 Supply FRV using requisition slips starting in October. Xbox releases four original console games on PC thanks to Backwards Compatibility, but they chose the wrong ones

Windows 11’s File Explorer is now faster at deleting large files, in a rare speed win from Microsoft

Microsoft released Windows 11 Insider Experimental Preview Build 26300.8935 on July 20, which improves File Explorer's ability to delete large, fragmented files more quickly in certain scenarios. The update promises at least a 30% speed increase for bulk deletions and enhances the responsiveness of the Home tab in File Explorer. The Recommended section now supports touch scrolling. Future updates will include a modernization of the Properties dialog and improvements to search functionality. These enhancements aim to address the sluggishness of File Explorer, which has been attributed to fragmentation issues in NTFS and the hybrid architecture of the application.

Fitbit Air’s newest update brings nothing new except invisible bug fixes

Microsoft finally lets you fix the worst key on your keyboard
