LastPass: A former leading password manager that lost trust due to security breaches; moved to Bitwarden for its solid and secure platform. 4. KeePassDX: Impressive for local storage and clean UI, but lacked cloud syncing and required manual password management; eventually chose Bitwarden for convenience. 5. Funselektor's game, Over the Hill, offers a contemplative off-roading experience, differing from its previous titles, Art of Rally and Absolute Drift, which focused on speed and a top-down perspective. The game features a stylized world that emphasizes exploration over speed, allowing players to strategize their routes in a tranquil environment. The demo, available during the Steam Next Fest until June 22, showcases this approach, with an option to accelerate that may lead to unexpected tumbles. A specific release date for the full game has not been announced, but it is anticipated to launch later this year.

In Gothic Remake, players activate torches from the hotbar to illuminate dark environments, but cannot stow them back in inventory. Instead, selecting a weapon causes the torch to be stabbed into the ground, where it remains lit for a time. If the player rests in a bed, the torch will extinguish by the time they awaken. The torch also goes out if it comes into contact with water. Torches are plentiful in necessary areas, allowing players to place them along paths for easy retrieval later. To avoid accidental deployment, players are advised to assign the torch to slot 0 in the hotbar. There is a suggestion for future updates to allow players to extinguish torches on the ground to reclaim them more easily.

EDB has released version 6.4 of its Postgres Distributed (PGD) solution, which includes enhancements such as quorum commit, native connection pooling, and support for PostgreSQL large objects. The quorum commit feature ensures a unified transaction outcome across cluster nodes before finalizing a transaction, addressing potential risks from conflicting writes in distributed systems. This update targets organizations in sectors like banking, payments, telecommunications, and infrastructure, aiming to provide the same consistency guarantees previously reliant on proprietary databases. The Connection Manager now includes native connection pooling, reducing the need for external connection poolers and streamlining operations by integrating with PGD's Raft consensus layer. This integration allows for automatic route adjustments during failover and improved monitoring capabilities. Additionally, the update expands replication support to include PostgreSQL large objects, enhancing the applicability of distributed Postgres for managing mixed data sets in sectors like government, healthcare, and financial services. EDB also noted a Gartner forecast that by 2030, over 75% of enterprises in Europe and the Middle East will have repatriated workloads to their home jurisdictions, emphasizing the importance of consistent data management across locations. EDB aims to strengthen Postgres's position in the market by focusing on transaction integrity in distributed environments while minimizing reliance on additional infrastructure components.
