Notification History on Android allows users to revisit alerts from the past 24 hours and manage notifications effectively. To enable it on Google Pixel and Motorola devices, users should go to Settings > Notifications > Manage > Notification history and toggle on Use notification history. For Samsung devices, the steps are Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings > Notification history, then toggle the switch. Other Android brands may have the option in the Notifications section or can be found using the settings search bar. AccuBattery is a battery management app that helps users identify and diagnose software and hardware issues draining their device's battery. It offers a distinct approach by using pattern recognition over time for data gathering, which can yield more accurate insights compared to built-in tools. AccuBattery provides detailed statistics, including mAh consumption of each app, current, temperature, and voltage, facilitating easier diagnosis of potential hardware issues. Users can benefit from using AccuBattery alongside built-in tools, as each may catch what the other overlooks. The app includes a charge alarm feature that notifies users when their battery reaches 80%, promoting better battery longevity. However, AccuBattery relies on observational data, which may not always be perfectly accurate. It is not categorically superior or inferior to built-in tools but offers depth of detail that can be beneficial for users facing persistent battery issues.

Samsung is replacing the OneDrive integration in its Gallery Android app with Google Photos, following Microsoft's announcement that OneDrive photo backup will cease after September 30, 2026. The new cloud sync feature with Google Photos is being rolled out to select Galaxy users, who must update their Gallery Cloud Sync, Samsung Cloud, and Samsung Gallery apps. The integration does not support supervised personal Google accounts or Google Workspace accounts. Users can back up their camera roll, specific albums, and local device folders to Google Photos, but edited photos will appear as separate items, and some Google Photos features will not be accessible for synced photos. Samsung's Gallery app will continue to operate alongside Google Photos, and the company is developing its own web browser for Android and Windows.

Samsung has integrated Google Photos into the Samsung Gallery app, ending its collaboration with Microsoft for OneDrive backups. The latest version of Samsung Gallery (v15.9.01.7) includes a "Sync photos and videos" option, accessible through Menu > Settings. The rollout is gradual, so not all users may see the option immediately. Users can set up automatic backups via the Google Photos app, but they cannot browse their entire Google Photos library within Samsung Gallery. This transition from OneDrive is expected to enhance user experience as more users adopt the new integration.
