Google has launched the revamped Find Hub app, replacing the previous Find My Device application. This update allows users to track devices, items, and people. The app is now available on the Google Play Store under the name "Find Hub," with the current version being 3.1.337-2. The People tab has exited beta testing, and a redesigned settings page now separates Find Hub and Google Location Sharing features. Future updates planned by Google include precision finding using ultra-wideband technology and enhanced satellite connectivity, expected by the end of 2025. The older Find My Device branding is still referenced on Google's official website during this transition.

Google I/O is set to begin on May 20th at the Shoreline Amphitheater in California, with live updates from Android Central. T-Mobile is set to begin beta testing a satellite messaging service in partnership with Starlink, specifically designed for Android 15 users. This service will allow users to send messages via the Google Messages app when outside cellular or Wi-Fi range. Users will receive a prompt to connect to satellite messaging on the Google Messages home screen and during one-on-one chats, though group chats may not be supported. Selecting the “Connect” option will initiate a satellite connection, but it is unclear if the connection will automatically disengage when cellular or Wi-Fi access is restored.
