PowerToys for Windows 11 will introduce a feature called the Settings Scheduler, allowing users to automate the scheduling of device settings such as toggling Bluetooth and switching between dark and light mode based on a set timetable. Proposed by developer Joseph Finner, the Settings Scheduler aims to simplify the Task Scheduler by providing a user-friendly interface for managing settings. Users can configure their devices to perform actions like activating dark mode at 8 PM, muting volume in the morning, or turning Bluetooth off for two hours. The feature will enable automatic adjustments based on user preferences, such as enabling Wi-Fi when returning home. It will be accessible from the taskbar or PowerToys menu. Future enhancements may include more complex triggers based on Wi-Fi connections or locations.
