Google is introducing a new feature called Smart Resume for its Play Store, which allows users to resume app and game downloads that were previously canceled. This feature retains temporary files associated with canceled downloads for up to 24 hours, enabling users to continue downloads without starting over. It supports downloads of up to approximately 2GB, provided users have at least 5GB of free storage. Smart Resume is particularly useful for users in areas with unreliable internet connections or limited mobile data plans. The feature is part of Google's efforts to enhance the Play Store's functionality, following the introduction of simultaneous app downloads.
