In January, the 1.4.5 patch for Terraria was released after three years of development, initially thought to be the final update. However, developer Re-Logic announced plans for at least one more major update and potential future content. They are also working on patch 1.4.5.7, which is evolving into a comprehensive update with new features like a portable sentry and an ammo randomiser, alongside fixes for combat issues and revamps of less popular items. Re-Logic confirmed ongoing support for Terraria beyond the upcoming 1.4.6 update, which will include crossplay functionality.
