This advertisement follows his role in the Amazon Prime Video adaptation of War Of The Worlds, which has received a low rating of 3 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The film has been criticized for its poor execution and product placements. Residents and visitors in Morong, Rizal, and Mambajao, Camiguin Island can now make emergency calls through messaging apps and social media platforms as part of a modernization initiative for emergency response systems. Mambajao activated its local 911 emergency hotline on February 27, becoming the first next-generation 911-enabled command center in Northern Mindanao, reducing response times to three to seven minutes. The Next Generation Advanced (NGA) 911 Philippines launched the NEXiS Message platform, allowing emergency calls via traditional voice methods, text messages, video calls, and popular applications like Facebook Messenger. LunaSpy is a deceptive antivirus application that spreads primarily through Telegram and is not available on the official Google Play Store. It masquerades as a legitimate antivirus program, claiming to protect online banking activities. Upon installation, it conducts a superficial scan and displays false warnings to instill fear, prompting users to grant extensive permissions. Once installed, it can invade personal data, access banking information, record audio and video, steal passwords, read SMS messages, track locations, and has been found to include a command for photo theft. Users are advised to avoid downloading LunaSpy and to exercise caution with applications from social networks or unofficial sources, relying instead on verified antivirus solutions from official app stores.

The KB5063878 cumulative update for Windows 11 24H2 is failing to install on many systems, particularly affecting users of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), who are encountering error code 0x80240069 during the installation of the August 2025 security updates. Administrators have reported issues such as "Service wuauserv has unexpectedly stopped" and "The Windows Update service terminated unexpectedly." A temporary workaround involves manually importing the update into WSUS using specific update IDs: WSUS Sync: Update-ID 8018eab0-7242-4932-adf2-afda36f6b3f6 and Update Catalog Import: Update-ID 92061378-be93-4659-a72a-037225e6bb0f. This issue is similar to a previous problem in April that affected enterprise customers updating Windows 11 22H2/23H2 systems, which was resolved by Microsoft in May through Known Issue Rollback (KIR).

Russian authorities have announced partial restrictions on calls made through Telegram and WhatsApp, citing concerns about crime and misuse of these platforms. Roskomnadzor claims these messaging services are used for deception, extortion, and terrorist activities. The government has expressed frustration over the lack of cooperation from the platform owners regarding countermeasures. Recent reports indicate users are experiencing difficulties with calls on these applications. WhatsApp had over 96 million monthly users and Telegram had more than 89 million in Russia as of July. In Crimea, cellphone internet shutdowns may last indefinitely, and a new law penalizes users for accessing illicit content. A new national messaging app, MAX, is being developed by VK, a Russian company. Access to calls via WhatsApp and Telegram could be restored if the platforms comply with Russian laws, but current restrictions only apply to audio calls.
