Windows 11 users can disable advertisements for promoted apps and services in the Start menu by navigating to Settings, selecting Personalization, scrolling to Start, and toggling off the option labeled "Show recommendations for tips, shortcuts, new apps, and more." This feature was introduced in April for mainstream users, and similar ads are now appearing in Windows 10 as well.
