Riot Games Launches League of Legends 2026 Season 1 PC Café Event With Free Rewards, Skins and Esports Prizes

Riot Games has launched its first PC café promotion of 2026, coinciding with the Season 1 update for League of Legends. Chinese app “Sileme” not available for download on Apple, Android app stores

The app "Sileme," which translates to "are you dead," has been removed from both Apple and Android app stores, confirmed by a search conducted by the Global Times. Following its delisting, similar apps have emerged, such as "Alive Yet? - Dead Yet? SMS Version" and "Dead Yet? Drift Version." One of Sileme's founders, surnamed Guo, confirmed its removal. Sileme's official Weibo account announced a daily check-in feature and invited the public to suggest a new Chinese name, while also revealing plans to adopt the global brand name "Demumu" in the next version. The app is designed as a safety tool for individuals living alone, allowing users to check in daily, with alerts sent to emergency contacts if they fail to do so within a set timeframe.

Microsoft Edge is killing off Collections — and your data is caught in the crossfire

The Collections tool in Microsoft Edge is being retired, and users will soon be unable to add new items to it. They are advised to export their saved content or transfer pages to Favorites before the feature is removed. Transferring to Favorites will result in the loss of additional content like images and notes, while exporting will preserve content in a CSV file but will not keep it within the browser. Collections has not gained significant traction among users, leading to its phased-out status. Additionally, the Edge Sidebar app list is also being retired, raising concerns about the future of the entire Sidebar feature as Microsoft aims to simplify Edge and promote Copilot.

New Windows updates replace expiring Secure Boot certificates

Microsoft is enhancing security for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 users by automatically replacing expiring Secure Boot certificates on eligible devices. Secure Boot protects against malicious software by ensuring only trusted bootloaders are executed during startup. Many Secure Boot certificates are set to expire starting in June 2026, which could jeopardize secure booting capabilities if not updated. The update includes a mechanism to identify devices eligible for automatic receipt of new Secure Boot certificates. IT administrators are advised to install the new certificates to maintain Secure Boot functionality and prevent loss of security updates. Organizations can also deploy Secure Boot certificates through various methods. IT administrators should inventory their devices, verify Secure Boot status, and apply necessary firmware updates before installing Microsoft's certificate updates.
