The Xbox community is reacting to the announcement of a restructuring that will eliminate 3,200 roles within Xbox. CEO Asha Sharma has introduced a strategy to mitigate losses, with Compulsion Games and Double Fine operating independently, while Ninja Theory and Undead Labs will seek new publishing partners. No projects have been canceled, and no studios have closed. State of Decay 3 is no longer required to launch on Xbox Game Pass, which may also apply to future Ninja Theory projects. Undead Labs must decide whether to launch titles on Xbox Game Pass or independently. Players are encouraged to support studios by purchasing games at retail prices. State of Decay 3 is gaining popularity on the Steam Most Wishlisted games list, highlighting interest in mid-sized and experimental games. The success of these studios now depends on community support.

Building a circle in Minecraft involves using a block grid, which can be challenging due to the need for specific block patterns for different diameters. A Minecraft circle graph visually represents a circle on this grid, where filled cells indicate placed blocks and empty cells are unoccupied. The Bresenham circle algorithm is used to create these graphs, making it a standard method for rendering curves in the game. A circle generator allows players to input a desired diameter and receive a grid layout to follow, ensuring accuracy in construction. To read a circle chart, players look at a square grid filled with filled and empty squares, placing blocks according to the layout row by row. For three-dimensional builds, the pattern is replicated across height layers. Odd diameters have a single center block, while even diameters have a 2x2 center, simplifying calculations. Optimal circle sizes for aesthetic results start from 15 blocks, with smaller circles often appearing more octagonal. Recommended diameters include 15-25 blocks for towers, 40-60 blocks for arenas, and starting from 30 blocks for domes. Errors can be corrected by comparing the current row with the generator's output and making adjustments. Large circles, such as those with a 60-block diameter, can strain server resources, making it essential to use a stable server for accurate block placement.

The author initially used Simplenote and Obsidian for note-taking but sought a replacement for Simplenote due to its restrictive simplicity. They discovered Notesnook, which became their preferred app due to its end-to-end encryption, generous free plan, and offline functionality. Notesnook supports rich-media attachments, offers organizational features like notebooks and sub-notebooks, and provides superior text formatting options compared to Simplenote. However, the author noted some drawbacks, including slower speed, lack of full Markdown support without a paid plan, local revision history that doesn't sync across devices, and missing collaboration features. Despite these drawbacks, the author appreciates Notesnook's versatility but continues to use Obsidian for its strengths in managing databases and knowledge bases.

Wrong Organ developers Jeffrey Tomec and Dave van Egdom discussed their upcoming game, Carcass Clad, which shifts towards co-op multiplayer gameplay, a departure from their previous title, Mouthwashing. The game features tank-based mechanics where players navigate with limited visibility, with gunners in a scoped view and a commander providing strategic direction. The gameplay includes moments of action and respite, with safe rooms similar to those in Left 4 Dead. The developers are open to changes during the development process to enhance the game's appeal.

South Korea's antitrust regulator, the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC), has raised concerns about Google's practices in the Android app marketplace, identifying potential abuses of market dominance that may have stifled competition. The KFTC's Market Surveillance Bureau reported that Google's actions have impacted approximately 14.16 trillion won (around billion) in revenue. The report focuses on Google's "Games/Google Velocity Program," which operated from July 2019 to March 2026, providing financial support to game developers in exchange for launching games on Google's app store under favorable terms compared to competitors. This program reportedly diminished developers' incentives to use rival app stores, effectively creating a state of exclusive dealing with Google. If found guilty of market abuse, Google could face a fine of up to 6% of the affected revenue, approximately 0 million. Google has eight weeks to respond to the report, and the KFTC will issue a final ruling thereafter.

Microsoft has released new preview versions in the Windows Insider channels, focusing on refining the taskbar in Windows 11. The latest Insider Preview versions include a new option called “Taskbar size” in the “Experimental” release channel (Build 26300.8758), with early screenshots indicating a default setting of “Small.” Users can also dock the taskbar on any side of the monitor. Improvements to system sounds in dark mode and more reliable thumbnail previews for cloud files in File Explorer's preview panel are also included in the Beta Preview (Build 26220.8754). Microsoft has restructured the Insider Preview Program, reducing it from four channels to two: Experimental and Beta, with the Release Preview channel remaining. Switching between Insider Preview channels has been simplified, allowing users to change channels more flexibly.
