Minecraft now has new cow variants, shrubbery fireflies, and “bush” for public testing

Mojang has introduced a new content update for Minecraft, currently in public testing, featuring two cow variants: cold cows, which inhabit snowy biomes, and warm cows, found in desert landscapes. The update enhances desert biomes with new ambient sounds and allows players to create a desert atmosphere using dead bushes and sand blocks. Additionally, a new plant called the firefly bush emits glowing lights at night and can be cultivated with bone meal. Another bush variant can be found in various green biomes and can also be grown using bone meal. These features are available in the latest Java snapshot, with plans for inclusion in Bedrock beta versions. Mojang has shifted its content release strategy to smaller updates throughout the year instead of a single summer mega-update.

Minecraft Live digital showcase returns later this month with “news about our games” and more

Mojang's Minecraft Live digital showcase will take place on 28th September at 6pm BST/1pm EDT, accessible via the Minecraft website, YouTube, or Twitch. The mob vote will be retired, and the event will now occur biannually instead of annually. The showcase will provide updates on game features, testing phases, and the live-action Minecraft movie. Mojang is also overhauling its content release schedule to provide multiple updates throughout the year instead of a single summer update. The first update includes bug fixes, gameplay adjustments, and an experimental Bundles feature for inventory management. Additionally, Minecraft will discontinue support for PSVR next year.

Mojang announces plans to drop Minecraft PSVR support next year

Mojang Studios announced that support for the PlayStation VR version of Minecraft will officially end in March 2025, with no further updates after that date. Players will still be able to access their saved worlds and Marketplace purchases on PlayStation consoles without the VR headset. The Minecraft VR webpage has been taken down, indicating the end of the VR era for the game. Mojang is developing a native version of Minecraft for PlayStation 5, but it is unclear if there will be a port for PlayStation VR2. Additionally, Mojang plans to deliver a series of free game drops throughout the year instead of a single summer update.

Minecraft is dropping PlayStation VR support next year | VGC

Mojang will discontinue support for PlayStation VR in early 2025, following the initial support introduced in September 2020. Players will still receive updates and can continue to enjoy the game without the VR component, but the immersive VR experience will no longer be available after March 2025. Mojang confirmed that users can continue building in their worlds and access Marketplace purchases. MapleStory M adds new class Hayato along with mini-games and freebies in latest update

Nexon has introduced a new class, Hayato, to MapleStory M in a summer update. The update includes new weapons, inventory updates, character slot coupon, auto-battle charge ticket, growth mission event, burning event, and mega burning plus event. There are also revisions to Inventory Slots Expansion and stacking limit of Commander Expedition Reward items. Yeti's M Store will have a 6th-anniversary update with mini-games to earn in-game goodies. Players can join in on the fun by downloading MapleStory M on Google Play and the App Store.
