Best Android browser app is about to get even better

The Samsung Internet Browser app can be installed from the Play Store and the Galaxy Store. An upcoming update with One UI 8.5 is expected to coincide with the Galaxy S26 series launch. The update will feature a new icon, a revamped welcome screen, and a floating address bar that disappears while scrolling. Users will be able to block fixed-position pop-ups, and the tab management layout will resemble the Gallery app's grid view. A compact floating bar will allow customization of button arrangements. Users will also be able to "like" videos directly from the browser, and the browser will check for APK availability in the Galaxy Store during downloads. Additionally, a pop-up will offer the option to close all open tabs when closing the browser, with the ability to disable this feature for future sessions.

5 ways to make Windows 11 feel less annoying

Windows 11 24H2 File Explorer now restore tabs on restart, gets other new features

Windows 11 is enhancing File Explorer with new features focused on tabs and window management. The recent Build 22635.4580 (KB5046733) allows users to restore tabs alongside windows upon logging in by enabling the “Restore previous windows on logon” setting. To utilize this feature, users should also activate the “Automatically save my restartable apps and restart them when I sign back in” option. Additionally, Microsoft is testing smarter tab control that prevents multiple windows from opening when accessing folders from different locations, allowing folders to open as new tabs within the existing window. Users can adjust this behavior in File Explorer’s settings. The update also simplifies the process for managing the “Start backup” reminder in the File Explorer address bar, enabling users to right-click the “Start OneDrive” symbol to snooze or dismiss backup alerts. These features are expected to roll out with Windows 11 24H2 in early 2025, tentatively starting in February.

Arc Browser now supports Windows on ARM
