Our all time top rated board game, Frosthaven, is coming to PC – and it looks magical

Frosthaven, a digital adaptation of the board game, will be available on PC in early access by the end of 2025, with a closed beta launching sooner. It is being developed by Snapshot Games, which has inherited part of the code from the Gloomhaven PC game. The adaptation aims to be 95% accurate to the original board game, featuring both single-player and cooperative online multiplayer gameplay for up to four players. The game will introduce new complexities, including changing seasons and multiple biomes, while maintaining a vibrant aesthetic. Currently, it is about 80% complete, with a team expansion from 20 to 55 staff members. Players can apply for the closed beta starting March 27, which will include six core starter classes and a structured tutorial.

As We Descend incorporates adventure game elements, allowing character card enhancement and dividing the battlefield into guard and support zones. Players protect an artifact while engaging in narrative and light city-building elements, utilizing cards for interactions within a hub. Into the Restless Ruins redefines deckbuilding by focusing on dungeon creation, where players use cards to build a dungeon and then explore it, engaging in automatic battles. The game emphasizes creative problem-solving and combat, drawing inspiration from tabletop RPGs.
