Microsoft has released an Insider build for Windows 10 to address issues related to single sign-on (SSO) and freezing of the Edge browser in Internet Explorer mode. In December 2023, Microsoft announced changes to comply with the European Digital Markets Act (DMA), including a new sign-in prompt for applications in the European Economic Area (EEA). If users choose to use their Windows credentials, the prompt will not reappear in future sessions. By August, Microsoft recognized that the SSO notice was still appearing too frequently for Windows 11 users, and this fix has now been extended to Windows 10. The latest Insider build for Windows 10 includes fixes for freezing during File Explorer usage, taskbar issues, media playback glitches, and Edge crashes in Internet Explorer mode. Microsoft ended support for Internet Explorer in June 2022.
