Rainbow Six Siege is getting its first permanent mode in 10 years, and it throws every Siege rule out the window

Dual Front is a new permanent 6v6 mode in Rainbow Six Siege, developed as part of Siege X for the game's 10th anniversary. It redefines the Bomb format by expanding lobby size, allowing respawns, and enabling attackers and defenders to collaborate on the same team. New mechanics include the "destabilization" of zones that remain uncaptured, which accelerates the capture process once fully destabilized. A secondary objective in the neutral zone requires teams to escort a hostage, enhancing collaboration. The mode will debut in Year 10 Season 2, while the classic 5v5 Bomb format will remain a key focus for Ubisoft.

Developer Review of Warp for Windows, an AI Terminal App

Warp for Windows has been introduced, providing a unified terminal experience for developers who previously lacked a Windows version. David Eastman tested Warp on an older AMD Phenom II machine running Windows 10, encountering initial compatibility issues due to the machine's lack of support for SSE4.1. The application no longer requires a mandatory sign-in, making it more accessible. Users can choose their preferred shell, including PowerShell and Git Bash, although Eastman faced functionality issues with Git Bash. Warp integrates AI features to assist in command execution, intelligently formatting outputs and allowing for chat-style interactions to generate scripts. It also offers session management capabilities, enabling users to organize workflows and share commands, which is beneficial for team collaboration in DevOps settings.

A new ‘File Search’ feature is coming to the Windows 11 taskbar
