Chaotic Eclipse criticized the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) for its perceived incompetence, suggesting that prior attempts to resolve the issue privately were ignored. Dormann indicated that budget cuts at Microsoft may have led to a decline in the quality of the MSRC. BlueHammer was neutralized in the Windows 11 CVE-2026-33825 update released on April 14, 2026, but some components may still exist.

Google Play is changing how Android apps access your contacts and location

The Play Console will also introduce an official account transfer feature for ownership changes, effective May 27, with a mandatory 7-day security cool-down period for transfers. Unofficial transfers are prohibited.
