As of 11:00 PM on April 15, 2025, Rutracker has resumed operations after a significant outage that began around 5:00 PM Moscow time the same day. Users from major Russian cities reported difficulties accessing the site, which has been permanently blocked in Russia since 2016. During the outage, users encountered a "Web Server Down" message due to a 521 error from Cloudflare, indicating a connection termination. The access issues appeared to affect only Russian users, as individuals in Italy and Kazakhstan could still access Rutracker. This incident marks the third occurrence in six months raising concerns about the future of popular web resources among Russians. Rutracker had previously announced its own anti-Russian sanctions in March 2022 but continued to be accessible to Russian users until this outage. In January 2023, Rutracker experienced another outage lasting nearly a full day. The recent issues have been attributed to hosting problems, although some users reported no access issues during that time.

However, users are experiencing persistent issues with the Rockstar Games Launcher, leading to frustration. One user spent two hours troubleshooting the launcher, attempting various fixes such as uninstalling the application, deleting registry entries, running executables as Administrator, and adjusting audio settings, but continued to encounter crashes. This situation raises concerns about the reliability of proprietary launchers and their impact on access to purchased games, including titles like Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption. Many gamers feel that developers should focus on functionality and user experience.

Monster Hunter Wilds attracted over a million concurrent players shortly after its launch, surpassing the previous record set by Monster Hunter Worlds and other major titles like Elden Ring. Many PC players reported performance issues, including frame rate drops and graphical glitches. A Steam user named BeepBoop discovered a typo in the game’s configuration files, where "Resolution" was misspelled as "Resoltuion." Correcting this typo reportedly resulted in a noticeable performance boost for some players, with claims of improved frame rates. Some users reported increases in their average frame rates from 120fps to 140fps, while others experienced a boost of around 20fps. However, not all players found success with this fix, leading to speculation about the placebo effect.

Hyper Light Breaker, launched in early access a month ago, currently has a 63% Mixed rating on Steam, with players reporting technical difficulties, control issues, and high difficulty levels. Lead producer Michael Clark acknowledged the developers' realization that the game may be too hard and expressed no regrets about entering early access, emphasizing the importance of player feedback for improvement. Heart Machine plans to release a roadmap with significant updates, including a February patch to address performance issues and rebalance combat, followed by a smaller update in March and a larger "Buried Below" update in April. Clark noted the team's intention to create a challenging yet fair experience, admitting they misjudged the difficulty for new players. The developers are committed to refining the game based on player feedback.
