Death Stranding 2 for PC arrives on March 19

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on PC on March 19. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic Australia and continues the narrative of the original game, with players taking on the role of Sam Porter Bridges. The PC version is developed in collaboration with Nixxes Software and includes several enhancements such as support for NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel Upscaler and FrameGen technologies, uncapped framerates, 4K gaming capabilities, and compatibility with ultrawide monitors. Steam client under Windows fully converted to 64-bit, support for 32-bit ends in 2026

Valve has transitioned the Steam client on Windows 10 and Windows 11 to a fully native 64-bit architecture, ending support for 32-bit Windows installations. Users on 32-bit systems will receive security updates and bug fixes until January 1, 2026, after which the Steam client will be considered insecure. Less than one percent of active Steam users are affected by this change. The shift to 64-bit allows for better RAM access, improved stability, and eliminates the need for the WoW64 compatibility layer. Valve has ceased support for Windows 7 and Windows 8 as of the end of 2024.

Valve’s latest round of Counter-Strike 2 tinkering might make you think twice before defusing

Intel Panther Lake to “set new standard” for gaming performance, due to new GPUs

Intel is set to launch its Panther Lake CPUs, which will utilize the 18A semiconductor manufacturing process and feature advanced Xe3 GPUs. These processors will include multi-frame generation technology, enhancing gaming performance. The Panther Lake lineup will consist of four Xe3 core variants with 32 XMX engines, 4MB L2 cache, and four ray tracing units, and twelve Xe3 core variants with 96 XMX engines, 16MB L2 cache, and twelve ray tracing units. Intel claims a 50% performance improvement over the previous Xe2 GPUs while maintaining the same power consumption and achieving 40% better performance per watt compared to Arrow Lake-H processors. The reintroduction of E-cores aims to enhance multi-threaded performance by up to 50%. Intel will also introduce the multi-frame generation feature through XeSS-MFG software, which generates three AI-assisted frames for every actual frame. The Panther Lake series is expected to launch at CES 2026 in January.
