The Pakistani government is set to launch a communication app called "Beep Pakistan" for federal officials and employees. Beep Pakistan is developed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB) with contributions from local developers, emphasizing safety and security, including features like encryption. However, the app's privacy policy indicates it will collect data such as device location and IP addresses, stored on local servers, raising concerns among digital rights activists regarding data security.
