Google has introduced an experimental AI assistant application named COSMO to the Play Store, identified by the package name com.google.research.air.cosmo. COSMO aims to enhance daily tasks using artificial intelligence, similar to Google’s Gemini app. The app can operate using a local Gemini Nano model or connect to a remote “PI” server, although some features are not fully operational. The user experience is currently rough, with less polish compared to the full Gemini app, and access is limited across various regions, including on Pixel devices.

Microsoft's PowerToys version 0.99 introduces two new tools: Grab And Move and Power Display, along with enhancements to the Command Palette Dock. Grab And Move allows users to reposition application windows by holding the Alt key and dragging anywhere on the window, facilitating easier window management. Users can customize the activation key and toggle the feature off during gaming sessions. There are also options to exclude specific applications from using this feature. Power Display enables users to manage monitor settings directly from the system tray, including brightness, contrast, volume, rotation, and color temperature adjustments. It supports multi-monitor setups with DDC/CI standards and includes a Profiles option for saving specific monitor settings. The Command Palette Dock now features a compact mode and customization options for pinned commands, improving user accessibility and screen space utilization.

A new update for Terraria, version 1.4.5.7, is set to enhance combat by addressing long-standing challenges such as aggro management, invisible hitboxes, and offscreen attacks. The update will include adjustments to the four core classes and introduce new early-game magic options. New items catering to niche playstyles, like a sapling minion for Summoners and a revamped Daybloom plant, will also be featured. The development of this update is taking longer than previous fixes, and further tweaks may occur in a subsequent update, 1.4.5.8, before the team can finalize 1.4.5 and focus on crossplay features. The tModLoader team is working on porting to 1.4.5, but it will take several months to refine for release. Meanwhile, updates for the existing tModLoader compatible with Terraria 1.4.4 are ongoing.

The Xbox app for PC has been enhanced to allow any gamepad to control the mouse cursor, pin favorite games, and add installed apps or games to the Xbox library. These updates reflect a strategy initiated by new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, who has also reduced the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier.
