The Microsoft Copilot app on Windows is receiving an update that enhances user experience and productivity, introducing features like Copilot Actions for Text Editing. This feature allows users to rewrite, refine, or edit text during Copilot Vision sessions, facilitating real-time collaboration. Users can initiate a Vision session by clicking the glasses icon in the chat bar and selecting the document or application to share. During the session, users can give commands such as “rewrite this to be more formal,” prompting Copilot to suggest edits. The feature is opt-in and requires users to enable it in the Copilot App settings. The update (version 1.25121.60.0 and higher) is being rolled out across all Insider Channels via the Microsoft Store, and users must be on Windows version 26200.6899 or later to access it. Availability may vary for users globally.

A Google survey found that 87% of game developers are integrating generative AI into their workflows. Codex Mortis, developed by Crunchfest3, claims to be "the world's first fully playable game created 100% through AI." The game was created in three months using AI tools, without traditional game engines. It features a bullet heaven genre style and an AI-generated cinematic trailer. Despite its claim, hobby coder David Friedman previously developed Doomscroll, a browser game using ChatGPT, indicating other projects in generative AI game development. Codex Mortis is set to be released on Steam as a potentially paid product.

Google Messages has introduced an upgrade to Gboard that includes AI writing assistance, previously exclusive to Pixel devices, now available on more Android smartphones. Users need the latest version of Gboard for access, which may take time to roll out across devices. Some users, like those with the OnePlus 13, have reported access, while others, such as Galaxy S25 Ultra users, are still waiting. Gboard's AI tools will allow spellchecking, generating alternative message versions, and more, with processing done on-device via Gemini Nano, addressing privacy concerns. To use the AI features, users must tap the writing tools icon in supported apps, which opens suggestions for messages. Options include different writing styles and proofreading capabilities.
