To reach the Sands of Karak in Hollow Knight: Silksong, players must start in the Blasted Steps, located south of Mount Fay, and use the Clawline ability along with Glide and Wall Jump. From the bench in the Blasted Steps, players should go right, drop down a pit, and use Glide to navigate to a ledge leading west. Visibility is limited due to a dust storm, and players must travel west using the Clawline ability to grab hooks along the route. After entering the Sands of Karak, players will face walls to climb while avoiding stalagmites and stalactites, and must navigate a stretch of timed platforms using diagonal attacks to progress. A narrow tunnel to the right can be scaled to activate a timed route above.
