The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time PC Fan Remake Officially Stopped

CryZENx has announced the conclusion of his Unreal Engine 5 fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which will no longer receive updates or new versions. All previous demos of the project remain available for download. The decision to halt development was made because an official remake of the game is underway, and CryZENx did not receive a cease-and-desist letter from Nintendo. He is exploring new project possibilities, with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess currently leading a poll. CryZENx plans to release a final video showcasing gameplay of Chapters 2 and 3 of Ocarina of Time. Additionally, there are various free fan-made demos in Unreal Engine 5 available for exploration, including titles like Superman UE5 Demo and Halo 3: ODST Remake.

Unofficial PC Version for GoldenEye 007 Remaster Released

The PC version of the canceled remaster of GoldenEye 007 has been released, allowing players to experience the classic game on their PCs. The remaster was initially planned in 2008 but was canceled before launch. The new PC version features enhancements such as 60 FPS performance, online multiplayer capabilities, controller support, adjustable in-game settings, and visual post-FX filters. However, players need to obtain the X360 XBLA ROM file to access the game, as it does not include any in-game assets. Other unofficial PC ports of classic games are also available.

Zelda: Twilight Princess PC port forced to change its name, and for once Nintendo has nothing to do with it

The developers of the unofficial PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess have rebranded the project as Dusklight to avoid trademark conflicts with an established first-person shooter named Dusk, which is owned by New Blood Interactive. The developers announced this decision in a Discord update, stating that no other changes to the project are planned. New Blood Interactive, which holds the trademark for Dusk, expressed appreciation for the developers' cooperation and hinted at a potential crossover between the two games. They are also offering keys for the Dusk Switch to the Dusklight community. Meanwhile, a fan-made port of Jak and Daxter 3 is currently in beta, completing Naughty Dog's trilogy on PC.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess finally gets a fan-made PC port, and I can’t wait to see what modders do with the GameCube classic

Fans have successfully ported The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to PC and mobile platforms, creating a PC port named Dusk. This port includes features like higher resolutions, uncapped frame rates, gyro aiming options, multiple bloom presets, improved shadow details, access to the Wii U version's free cam, achievements, and customizable difficulty modifiers. Quality-of-life improvements allow for faster climbing of ladders and text skipping. The port also includes cheats that alter gameplay dynamics and opens up possibilities for mods. The decompilation project began in August 2020 and involved contributions from the zeldaret/GC decomp community.
