Apple is the leading smartphone manufacturer in the U.S., while 60% of corporate-owned devices are powered by Android, according to a survey by Stratix. Google announced Gemini in Android Studio for businesses at the Google Cloud Next 2025 conference, a subscription-based service aimed at enhancing the Android ecosystem for enterprise app developers. Gemini focuses on secure, privacy-oriented AI solutions, with a strict data governance policy ensuring confidentiality and ownership of company code. It includes enterprise-grade management features and extends Google's generative AI indemnification policy to protect against copyright infringement claims related to AI-generated code. The enterprise edition allows customization using internal repositories, improving code acceptance rates by 70%. Gemini is compliant with various industry certifications, including SOC 1, 2, and 3, and ISO/IEC 27001, among others. A free version of Gemini remains available for independent developers, while organizations can acquire a Code Assist Enterprise license through the Google Cloud Console.

Seelen UI is a web-based application designed to enhance the Windows 11 desktop environment by replacing the taskbar and window manager with a customizable interface. It features a floating taskbar that displays open applications and provides access to pinned apps and media controls, along with a menu bar for quick access to settings. Users can customize the toolbar layout, dock positioning, and background themes, although theme options are currently limited. The application requires Microsoft Edge and WebView 2 to operate. However, it has a steep learning curve due to a lack of comprehensive guidance, and its organization can be confusing. Future improvements are anticipated, including custom widgets and multitasking features.

The game "Earl vs. the Mutants" features two old rednecks who pivot from a Pest Control business to mutant-slaying with souped-up vehicles after a nuclear apocalypse. The game involves driving vehicles and shooting mutants, collecting XP orbs for upgrades, and dealing with randomized card-based upgrades. There are four vehicles to choose from, each with unique characteristics. The game has a simple, addictive gameplay style reminiscent of early internet browser games. However, there are issues with enemy balance and lackluster boss fights, leading to a need for more content for lasting appeal.
