Terrifying new survival game is a bit Rust, a bit Subnautica, and absolutely full of sharks

Anchor is a survival game developed by Fearem, set in a post-apocalyptic ocean environment where players compete for resources against each other and sharks. The game supports up to 150 players on a single server and features crafting, base building, and underwater combat. Players have undergone genetic modifications to adapt to their surroundings, while sharks possess a keen sense of smell to detect blood. Guild Wars 2’s sixth expansion is taking players to an island paradise this October, with beachside player housing and a major addition to buildcrafting

ArenaNet has announced the sixth expansion for Guild Wars 2, titled Visions of Eternity, set to launch on October 28. The expansion will introduce a fourth elite specialization for each of the nine classes, enhancing buildcrafting. Players will explore the island of Castora, facing the Inquest faction and enjoying new features such as a beachside Homestead plot, a reworked Skimmer mount, and a legendary aquabreather. A beta for the new elite specs is scheduled for August 20, and subsequent updates will include another raid and additional legendary items. The expansion aims to improve quality of life based on player feedback from the previous expansion.

Monster Hunter Wilds Sees Huge Jump In PC Players After Free Title Update 2

Monster Hunter Wilds on Steam saw a surge of 100,000 concurrent players following the launch of Free Title Update 2, increasing the peak player count from 19,637 on June 29 to 133,033 on June 30. The update addressed performance issues and introduced features like Lagiacrus, Seregios, underwater combat mechanics, and layered weapons. A seasonal event, the Festival of Accord: Flamefete, is scheduled from July 23 to August 6. Earlier in the year, Free Title Update 1 had peak concurrent players exceeding 500,000, but by mid-June, Monster Hunter World had surpassed Monster Hunter Wilds in player numbers. As of the latest reports, Monster Hunter Wilds has over 67,000 players on Steam and is the best-selling game in the US this year, achieving 8 million copies sold within three days of its release, making it Capcom's fastest-selling title.
