Asus is introducing the Asus ROG Xreal R1 AR gaming glasses, which are the first-ever 240Hz gaming glasses, providing a viewing experience equivalent to a 171-inch screen from four meters away. They feature a vision-filling display, portable design, and a higher refresh rate with a distinctive ROG aesthetic. The glasses include "optical engines" for simultaneous real-world and projected display experiences, with outer lenses that use electrochromic technology to enhance contrast and image quality. Each arm has a Bose speaker system for audio without earbuds, and connectivity options include a USB cable, two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and two USB-C inputs. They have a 57-degree field of view, covering up to 95% of the focused viewing area, but the resolution is capped at 1080p. A now-removed webpage suggested a launch in the first half of 2026, with a price range similar to current Xreal glasses, which start at 9.

Amazon's Fire Tablets are affordable devices that run on a customized version of Android called Fire OS, which is integrated with Amazon's services. Users have sought to modify their Fire tablets, and a new exploit in Fire Toolbox v42 for Windows and v12 for Linux allows enhanced control over system applications without granting root access. This version enables users to block over-the-air updates, ensuring modifications remain intact. Users must enable developer mode, connect their tablet to a PC, and use Fire Toolbox for modifications. Important considerations include the lack of support from Amazon for any issues arising from these modifications. Users are advised to block OTA updates to maintain customization capabilities.

Windows 11 may fail to recognize a printer even when it is powered on and ready. This issue can occur after system updates, restarts, or when switching to a new device. To resolve it, follow these steps: 1. Ensure all connections are secure, including checking for a loose USB cable, a powered-off WLAN printer, and the correct network connection for wireless printers. Restarting both the printer and PC may help. 2. If the printer is not recognized, manually add it by going to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & Scanners and selecting Add device. If it still doesn't appear, use the "The desired printer is not listed" option to start the setup wizard. 3. Update the printer drivers by visiting the manufacturer's website to download the latest software compatible with Windows 11 for your printer model. 4. If these steps do not resolve the issue, use the built-in repair tool by going to Settings > System > Troubleshooting > Other troubleshooters and selecting the Printers troubleshooter. If problems persist, consider the possibility that the printer itself may be faulty or outdated.
