Microsoft is ending support for Internet Explorer mode in Edge

Microsoft has announced that the Internet Explorer mode within its Edge browser will be supported until at least the end of 2029. This mode allows organizations to run IE's rendering engine on current Windows versions. Microsoft will provide a minimum of one year's notice before any end-of-support date. IE mode is a compatibility feature in Edge that uses the legacy Trident engine. Internet Explorer officially retired its standalone browser in June 2022, having dropped to less than 1 percent of the browser market share at that time.

Google Recorder could soon fix its biggest drawback for power users
