Ledger Atom puts everyday Android apps behind a hardware security layer

Ledger has introduced the Ledger Atom, an Android device designed to enhance the security of crypto transactions, AI actions, and private communications, priced at USD 9 and expected to launch in summer 2027. It functions as a security-centric companion rather than a smartphone replacement, combining Android with Ledger OS and a secure element chip. Organizations using Windows security baselines have this feature enabled by default unless configured otherwise. A temporary workaround involves disabling Administrator protection, and IT administrators can reset the "User Account Control Type Of Admin Approval Mode" policy using Microsoft Intune or Group Policy. Similar issues have been addressed by Microsoft in the past, including a problem resolved in March 2025 and emergency updates issued last month for Remote Desktop Services failures on Windows Server devices.

Windows update patches a whopping 1,400 security bugs – including 2 zero days

Microsoft released the October Windows update, addressing over 1,400 vulnerabilities, including 80 critical vulnerabilities and two zero-day exploits.
