Microsoft has introduced a new recovery solution for Windows 11 users called Cloud Rebuild, which allows for the reinstallation of the operating system directly from the cloud, restoring a PC to a clean state. This feature downloads the Windows OS and necessary device drivers, enabling recovery even when the OS is unbootable, unlike the existing Reset this PC option. However, Cloud Rebuild does not retain applications and files during the process. Currently, it is being rolled out in preview to Windows Insiders and is expected to be available to the general public in the coming months.

Google is redesigning its Google Translate app for Android, introducing a new navigation bar at the bottom with four sections: Translate, Live, Camera, and Practice. The language selectors have been moved to the top for a cleaner layout, and the translation input box now includes quick action buttons. A hamburger menu has replaced the Saved shortcut, providing a new “Your activity” screen that consolidates translation history and saved translations. The text input screen has a modern aesthetic, with recent translations visible within the input card, and the results page features individual cards for source and translated text.

Users of Android Auto are experiencing significant crashing issues, particularly after the release of version 17.2, with some instability also noted in version 17.1. The application crashes shortly after launch, often when users navigate the map or select media, causing the vehicle's display to revert to the native infotainment system. Most affected users are part of the Android Auto beta program, while those on the stable track using version 17.0 have not reported similar problems. Users can revert to a more stable version by exiting the Play Store beta program, uninstalling updates, or sideloading an APK of a previous version.
