We Got a $240,000 Estimate for Agent API Access. Our Agent Suggested a $5 Postgres Instance.

The operational landscape at SaaStr has changed significantly with the integration of AI, particularly with the AI VP of Revenue, 10K, which manages most outbound, inbound, and revenue operations and executes 35,000 to 40,000 API calls daily. Salesforce, Atlassian, and HubSpot are now charging for agent access, with estimates suggesting that maintaining 10K could cost around 0,000 annually. 10K has proposed mirroring the system of record into a Postgres database to reduce API call costs. Previous limitations with Marketo restricted API access to 10 or 20 minutes daily, prompting a migration away from it. The cloud index has risen by 18%, while vendors relying solely on per-seat sales are struggling. Data shows that 49.7% of executives changed jobs in the last 16 months, with 63% of CMOs doing the same. Additionally, more than 75% of AI-native attendees at SaaStr events had never attended before. 10K is now tracking its own API calls and reducing unnecessary ones, while a Postgres mirror is being considered for vendors with high agent pricing. Muse is being tested for ad capabilities against Claude and Replit.

The wavy progress bar in Android Auto's music applications has disappeared for some users, leading to speculation about its permanent removal. Google clarified that the squiggly line has not been eliminated, attributing the inconsistency to app developers' ability to customize the progress bar's appearance. Users have observed that the wavy progress bar may appear in the Coolwalk screen but reverts to a standard straight line in full-screen mode. Additionally, any app capable of playing media now utilizes a dedicated card on the Coolwalk screen, allowing users to see song information and playback controls. Why Antivirus Flags Game Tools and How to Verify Downloads Safely

In gaming, tools such as utilities, beta applications, and modding tools are often distributed as APK, IPA, or desktop files, and it is essential to investigate their origin, version, and any security warnings before installation. Antivirus software flags potential threats based on known malicious signatures, behavior patterns, and reputation data. Tools that modify game clients may receive heightened scrutiny, and classifications like “HackTool” or “Riskware” do not definitively indicate a file's functionality. Identical game utilities can exist on various platforms, and a familiar website does not guarantee authenticity. It is crucial to verify the publisher, update date, version, and installation method of a file. The SHA-256 hash verifies file integrity but does not ensure safety from malware. Calculating a file hash can be done using specific commands in Windows, macOS, or Linux. Multi-engine scanning platforms like VirusTotal provide insights, but a lack of detections does not guarantee safety. Even if a file matches its reference hash and raises no alerts, it may still violate online game terms. A pre-installation checklist includes confirming the publisher, checking file types, comparing SHA-256 hashes, reviewing security findings, keeping antivirus protection enabled, and consulting platform rules. A cautious approach integrates source verification, file integrity checks, security assessments, and compliance with platform regulations.

Google redesigns the search bar in its Android app

Google has updated the search bar on the home screen of its Android app in version 17.65.17, introducing a new "plus" button for easier access to file uploads and AI tools. The redesigned search bar is slimmer with a white background, a border, and a shadow effect. The plus icon on the left allows users to attach images or files, create visuals with Nano Banana, or switch models in AI Mode, while the microphone and Google Lens icons remain on the right. The two shortcut buttons beneath the search bar now have text labels: "Create" for Nano Banana and "Talk" for Search Live, improving usability. The update is being rolled out broadly, but no specific timeline has been provided for when users in the UAE will receive it. Users need to update the app to version 17.65.17 to access the new search bar, and the plus button does not add new features but provides quicker access to existing ones.

Valve is telling devs how well their games actually run on Steam Deck with real world data

As of October 1, Valve has introduced a feature that allows developers to access frame rate data from Steam Deck users, showing the percentage of sessions at which their games are played. This data helps developers assess game performance and identify areas for improvement. The system is limited to verified games and does not affect the verification process itself. Developers can use this information to analyze player experiences and the impact of updates on performance.
