The Delta Force Season Echo update has reworked its most iconic map, with the perfect counter to campers

Delta Force's Zero Dam map has been redesigned by Team Jade as part of the Season Echo update, responding to community feedback to enhance gameplay. Key changes include a complete overhaul of the elevator extraction point, adding a second entrance and reducing cover for defenders to promote movement. The surrounding areas now feature new reed marshes, swimmable channels, and an underwater area, with birds added to reveal player locations when startled. A new task chain, 'Operation Gold,' involves players accessing a vault while managing hydrogen gas filling the room. Horn-shaped mounds inspired by local legend provide opportunities for loot and personal messages. The update also includes quality-of-life improvements, such as addressing leg-clipping issues, marking interactable objects, and adjusting the transparency of the wheel menu. The update is available for free on Steam.

Anno 117’s first DLC will let you disregard history by building your Roman city next to a massive volcano

Ubisoft is set to release a DLC for Anno 117 titled Prophecies of Ash on April 23. This expansion introduces Cinis, the largest island in the series, featuring a volcano that adds risk and strategy to city-building. Cinis extends the Latium province and offers various resources, including a new resource called Obsidian for crafting unique items. The DLC will include volcanic mechanics such as eruptions and a bloom phase that affect agricultural productivity. Players can also build a temple dedicated to Vulcan, enhancing mining productivity and fire safety. Anno 117 has received a 'Mixed' rating on Steam due to issues like the use of AI art and perceived incompleteness at launch, but it has achieved the highest launch in the series' history.

Fallout 4 features a more vibrant and cheerful atmosphere compared to its predecessor, set in a post-apocalyptic world. The Commonwealth is designed to evoke a sense of hope and the possibility of rebuilding, contrasting with the grim Capital Wasteland. The game's autumnal aesthetic, characterized by a bright sun against a clear blue sky and grey landscapes, was a deliberate choice by art director Istvan Pely. He emphasized themes of hope and rebuilding while maintaining a sense of melancholy, stating that the world should still feel lifeless despite humanity's efforts to recover. The design team drew inspiration from the late fall season, reflecting the devastation of the nuclear fallout on nature. Pely and studio design director Emil Pagliarulo found the creative process of reimagining cities transformed by catastrophe enjoyable.
