FF14 is getting a baby Seikret minion as part of its Monster Hunter Wilds collab, and I will fistfight Arkveld alone for it

A collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter Wilds will take place in October, introducing rewards such as the baby Seikret minion and a Vigorwasp minion. Players will face Arkveld's trial, The Windward Wilds, requiring an item level of 725 for normal and 740 for Extreme encounters. Players should gather tomestone pieces and crafted gear to meet these requirements. Additional rewards include gear styled after the Hope set, Arkveld weapons, a Seikret mount, and several housing items. Square Enix is expected to reveal more surprises, including a gallery of weapons and orchestrion rolls for player estates.

Square Enix shows off the FF14 Monster Hunter Wilds crossover rewards, but I’m quietly hoping for more

A special site for Final Fantasy 14 has revealed details about the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds crossover event, launching in early October. The collaboration will introduce Guardian Arkveld in FF14 and Omega Planetes in Monster Hunter Wilds. Players can expect new gear, mounts, minions, and housing items. The event will feature a quest where players hunt Guardian Arkveld with a Felyne client and Seikret steed. The base encounter, 'The Windward Wilds,' requires a 725 item level, while the extreme version requires 740. Rewards include the Hope armor set and weapons inspired by Guardian Arkveld. A Seikret mount and new minions, including a baby Seikret and a Vigorwasp, will also be available. Housing items inspired by Monster Hunter Wilds will be introduced. The crossover requires players to be active subscribers who have completed the 7.0 Dawntrail MSQ with a level 100 character. The collaboration will be a permanent addition to the game.

Where to find a Giant Vigorwasp in Monster Hunter Wilds

To locate Giant Vigorwasps in Monster Hunter Wilds, players should go to the Windward Plains during the season of plenty, specifically in area 13 near the oasis or area 10. They can also appear during a Giant Vigorwasp Outbreak, which is infrequent. Giant Vigorwasps are larger than regular Vigorwasps and have a more prominent green sack. They can be captured using a capture net when the box turns orange. Alternatively, players can obtain a Giant Vigorwasp from their Palico if it has the upgraded Attract Vigorwasps ability. This ability allows the Palico to summon a Giant Vigorwasp during combat.
