Cozy-punk record shop sim Wax Heads is spinning onto PC and consoles on May 5, 2026

Indie developer Patattie Games, in collaboration with publisher Curve Games, will launch the game Wax Heads on May 5, 2026, available on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Players will take on the role of a team member at Repeater Records, a vinyl shop, engaging with customers and making choices that affect their experience. A playable demo will be available during Steam Next Fest from February 23 to March 3. The game features over 80 in-game records, more than 60 hand-drawn characters, and over 30 original songs. Key features include a handcrafted musical world, an emotional narrative, puzzle designs, and a comic book art style. Patattie Games is co-founded by Murray Somerwolff and Rothio Tome, while Curve Games is an award-winning publisher based in London.

Minecraft unveils yet more adorable baby mobs and a new item that’ll keep them smol forever

Mojang is introducing baby mobs in Minecraft that have unique visual identities and sounds, rather than just being smaller versions of adults. New models for baby pigs and baby turtles have been showcased, with baby turtles being described as "one of the smallest baby mobs." Enhancements are also coming for baby dolphins, squids, glow squids, and axolotls. A new craftable item, the golden dandelion, allows players to keep baby mobs small indefinitely by combining one regular dandelion with eight gold ingots. Currently, these new mobs and the golden dandelion are available for testing in Minecraft Java snapshots and Minecraft Bedrock previews. The full update's release date is not yet announced, but more content, including potential new baby mobs like foxes, armadillos, and polar bears, is anticipated.

Minecraft Next Game Update Includes Adorable Baby Animal Updates

The Minecraft team has announced updates for baby farm animals, giving them distinct looks and personalities instead of being scaled-down versions of adults. Notable enhancements include new models and unique sounds for baby mobs such as wolf pups, kittens, baby chickens, rabbits, piglets, lambs, calves, and baby ocelots. The baby mobs will feature one-pixel eyes, creating a more adorable appearance. Players can craft name tags for these mobs using paper and metal nuggets, enhancing personalization. Additionally, players can use spawn eggs on adult mobs to create baby versions in the Bedrock Edition. Early access to these features is available through snapshots for Java Edition and previews/beta for Bedrock Edition. The official release date is not confirmed, but it is anticipated to follow a similar timeline to last year's major update in March.

After 26 years, virtual pet gem Neopets re-enters the limelight with a brand-new game collection containing some of my favorite childhood flash games enhanced for PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch

Neopets: Mega Mini Games Collection is scheduled for release in March 2026 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The collection includes beloved flash games and a new game titled Starlight Symphony. It features local co-op play, global leaderboards, and rewards for existing Neopets account holders, such as unique cosmetics and in-game currency. An official page for the collection has not yet been launched.
