No Sleep For Kaname Date will have us dreaming of AI: The Somnium Files’ deranged detective again this July

Yesterday's Nintendo Direct event announced several highlights for PC gamers, including a remaster of Saga Frontier 2, a remake of a PlayStation 2 Shin Megami Tensei spinoff, and a next-gen Super Robot Wars game in English. The reveal of No Sleep For Kaname Date, the latest installment in the AI: The Somnium Files series, is set to launch on Steam in July. The game features the return of detective Kaname Date, who will rescue Vtuber Iris Sagan. The series consists of story-driven point-and-click adventures where players solve crimes by diving into dreams, aided by AI companion Aiba. This installment will include 'real-world' escape rooms with more coherent puzzles. Kotaro Uchikoshi takes on the role of assistant scenario director, while Kazuya Yamada is the primary writer. The game is anticipated to explore the B-plot from the previous game, The Nirvana Initiative.

Bushiroad Games and Frontwing announce visual novel Perennial Dusk: Kinsenka for PC

Bushiroad Games, in collaboration with Frontwing, will release the visual novel "Perennial Dusk: Kinsenka" for PC in 2025, supporting English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. The narrative, crafted by Yukito Urushibara and illustrated by Saine, follows young characters in a world of perpetual twilight as they face trauma and cruelty. The protagonist, Tachibana Sai, cannot feel emotional pain and seeks to protect his sister while becoming involved with Benio Matsuri, a girl from a family of Maledict Exorcists. The story unfolds in an apartment building called Maison sans Nom, featuring various characters, including Kanbara Tatsuki, Tsukahara Ao, Ando Meme, Kirishima Tsuyu, Kandori Yozora, and others, each with their own struggles. The main staff includes Yukito Urushibara for planning and story, Saine for character design and art, and Fuminori Matsumoto and Hitoshi Fujima for background music. The theme song is titled “Anata no Kioku no Naka de” (“In Your Memories”), performed by Mao Uesugi.

Usada Pekora Minecraft Server Costs Her Over a Million JPY

On September 2, 2024, Usada Pekora launched a Minecraft server for her fans, allowing up to one hundred participants to join. Fans must have a channel membership and a Discord account to access the server. The operational costs of the server exceed one million JPY (approximately ,026 monthly). Within half a day of its opening, fans began creating structures and engaging in adventures. Usada Pekora has over 2.6 million subscribers on her YouTube channel and is part of the third generation of Hololive VTubers.
