WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will allow users to create interactive updates, similar to Instagram's functionality. This update will include a new sticker enabling interactive components like questions and polls, encouraging user engagement. The interactions will remain confidential due to WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption, ensuring that the identity of users responding to updates is not revealed. No official statements have been made regarding the rollout of this feature.

A new WhatsApp update will introduce a button for third-party applications, allowing users to receive messages from apps like Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and iMessage directly in WhatsApp. This feature will be found in the Settings menu, enabling users to control cross-platform messaging and organize incoming messages into a separate inbox. However, WhatsApp does not guarantee the same security and privacy for these messages as it does for its native communications. Currently under development, this feature will be limited to users in the European Union due to the Digital Markets Act, which requires interoperability among messaging applications. Participation in this feature will be optional, addressing concerns about potential spam and scams.

WhatsApp is testing a new feature that reminds users of their status' privacy settings before sharing. Users can choose to share their status with either all contacts, specific groups, or pre-set contacts. The new update is currently only available to some Beta testers via the Google Play app and will be rolling out to others soon.
