Windows 11 gets Quick Recovery to fix computers that cannot boot

Microsoft introduced Quick Machine Recovery at the Ignite conference, a feature within its Windows Resiliency Initiative for Windows 11, aimed at improving user experience during system failures. This tool allows users to recover their systems when boot failures occur by transitioning into recovery mode and connecting to the internet to analyze crash data and retrieve fixes via Windows Update. Still running Windows 11 22H2? No more security fixes from Microsoft for you!

Microsoft has announced the end of support for several editions of Windows 11, including Windows 11 Home, Pro, Pro Education, Pro for Workstations, SE, and versions 21H2 of Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise, effective October 8, 2024. These editions will no longer receive security updates after this date. The last available update for these editions is the October 2024 security update. Microsoft recommends users update to the latest version of Windows to continue receiving updates and has implemented automatic upgrades for unmanaged devices nearing the end of service. Users can also manually check for updates to transition to Windows 11 24H2.
