Galaxy Books could soon stream audio to two Galaxy Buds simultaneously

Microsoft has integrated Bluetooth LE Audio into Windows 11 and is set to introduce Bluetooth Auracast, allowing users to stream audio to two sets of wireless earbuds simultaneously. To use Auracast, both the computer and earbuds must support Bluetooth LE Audio. The feature is being tested on devices including the Galaxy Book 5 Pro, Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360, seventh-generation Surface Laptop, and the latest 13-inch Surface Pro. Compatible Samsung wireless audio devices include Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, Galaxy Buds 3, and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.

Microsoft is transitioning from Bluetooth Classic Audio profiles to Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Audio profiles in Windows 11, enhancing the wireless audio experience for gamers and users of video and voice calls. The new profiles will improve audio compression, fidelity, and sample rates, preserving treble frequencies and eliminating issues with audio quality during gameplay. Spatial audio will also be integrated into videoconferencing applications, allowing users to perceive voices as coming from their respective video positions. This upgraded audio experience is available for users on the latest version of Windows 11 (24H2), provided their PC and Bluetooth headset support LE Audio.

Google stopped ignoring people using Pixel Buds on computers

Google has introduced support for the Pixel Buds web app on MacOS and Windows devices, allowing users to access features previously limited to smartphones. The web app enables users to check battery levels, enable or disable Active Noise Cancellation, adjust equalizer settings, manage multipoint connectivity, toggle conversation detection and in-ear detection features, and fine-tune volume balance. Users can also update their earbuds’ firmware without a connected smartphone. Future enhancements will integrate Gemini technology into older-generation Pixel Buds, but currently, Gemini Live integration is exclusive to the Pixel Buds Pro 2.
